Pongsak, the English-speaking owner of this small and unassuming restaurant takes a lot of pride in the quality of his food and it shows. With probably the best Indian food in Chiang Mai, Hinlay Curry House has a variety of affordable menu options. The Hinlay pork, pumpkin curry and samosas are highly recommended. If Indian curry doesn't take your fancy, there are also Burmese, Malaysian and Thai curries on offer. It can be a bit difficult to find but it is certainly worth the effort. If you travel by Tuk Tuk ask the driver for Wat Ket temple (pronounced Wat Gate). Once there walk south along the river, then take the first small street on the left and follow the signs.
