For history buffs who would like to know a bit about South Island social history it is a must. And it's not small, so be prepared to spend a long time seeing the attractions and looking at the exhibitions and artifacts. If you are planning on visiting the Mount Cavendish Gondola, this would be a great place to hit on the way.
