Description:

In addition to being the home of Copenhagen's premiere league soccer team FC København (FCK for short) as well as the national Danish soccer squad, national stadium Parken in Østerbro is also one of the biggest venues in Denmark for rock concerts. The stadium has hosted a long list of international stars that includes U2, Bruce Springsteen and Britney Spears, and can hold up to 50,000 guests in its covered, outdoor arena. Parken dates originally from 1911, when it was inaugurated as 'Københavns Idrætspark': The name change came about in 1992, after major renovation and a reopening ceremony. Tickets to both sports events and concerts can be bought through national ticket agency like Billetlugen and cost upwards of DKK 300. Parken borders the large park Fælledparken, with many sports facilities for local users, as well as local baths Østerbro Svømmehallen.
