Description:

The former Skodsborg Bathing Sanatorium was opened in 1898 as one of Denmark's very first health resorts: its founder, Dr. Carl Ottesen, had studied with Dr. John H. Kellogg in the United States and returned home to put his curative methods into practice. The hotel quickly became popular for curative stayovers, before financial decline many decades later.

The health centre was completely renovated during the mid 1990s and now operates as a certified health resort, combining state-of-the-art health facilities with a modern hotel, restaurant and conference centre. In addition to its extensive grounds - replete with petanque course - the hotel offers a large pool, fitness centre, Turkish baths, sauna and spa baths. The hotel's restaurant "Frederik & Louise" meanwhile offers just the kind of healthy food you would expect at a health resort.

Skodsborg Kurhotel is situated right next to the Øresund Channel, 20 minutes drive from central Copenhagen and 40 minutes by car/ train from Copenhagen Airport, with a direct train connection running regularly from Kastrup.
