on Copenhagen's pedestrian Strøget, Spisebaren reopened in 2011 under the ownership of Mikkel Shafi from gourmet eatery Kokkeriet
. The smart diner is decorated in bright colors, and can also boast a terrace out on the balcony overlooking the busy walking street. The menu offers both simple dishes for busy shoppers, like burgers or coffee and a cake, as well as fancy reinterpretations from the Scandinavian kitchen like 'braised jaw of beef in tobacco sauce
' for DKK 175. Prices are medium to expensive. With seating for 250 people, Spisebaren is not just a restaurant and cafe but also wine bar, take away and deli.
