Attractions in Costa Rica

Costa Rica is chalk-full of attractions at almost every turn, and the country's natural wonders are world reknowned. From active volcanoes in multiple regions to spectacular national parks brimming with tropical flora and fauna to its flamboyant wildlife in every nook and cranny, Costa Rica is the attraction king of Central America. At the top of the list is the Arenal Volcano National Park, which excites those who visit with spewing lava at the height of the mountain- one of the world's 10 most active volcanoes- and natural hot springs refresh weary saokers below. Waterfalls rush from sides of cliffs into roaring rivers and inviting pools, making agua another major attraction of Costa Rica. White water rafting is an adventurous attraction of the Pacuare River and many other spots of the country. Manuel Antonio National Park and Corcovado National Park are but two of the nation's official attractions, all of which brim with stuff to see and feel unlike elsewhere in the world. Last on the this list is the Ruinas de Ujarrás, what is left of a colonial village abandoned after a flood in 1833- one of Costa Rica's least visited attractions but a peaceful sanctuary that makes it a must-see attraction for those who enjoy ruins.
