With another excellent restaurant under her belt, chef owner Karen Nielsen has done it again with Chimera, a casual place with a somewhat small but diverse menu of tapas, spanning traditional soups and salads and including creative plates with Asian influences, Latin American flavors, and her own touches added to it all. In Greek mythology, Chimera may refer to a mythical creature with parts taken from different animals, and perhaps the eclectic menu was inspired by that notion. As there is also a full bar with plenty of appetizing cocktails, a wine list to complement the menu, and some scrumptious desserts, Chimera makes a fine place to bring a date for a well-rounded meal.
