Description:

The Tsirutami tour invites one to "discover the delicious chocolate experience...from our farm to your house." Offered by the Association of the Commission of Indigenous Women of Talamanca (ACOMUITA), Tsirutami (the Bri-Bri word for cocoa masters) tour leads you through the stages that cacao passes through, from planting to making handmade chocolate, accompanied by stories that share the indigenous traditions and the rich role that cacao plays in Bri Bri culture. The tour takes about three hours and includes a visit to a traditional farm and ends with a chocolate making workshop with all the phases, and finally, a tasting. Tour options allow for a complete lunch, just a snack, or no food, and start at $25 per person. A shorter tour may be arranged without the farm visit for $15 per person, and the tours require at least two people.
