For those who want something different than the usual guided walking tours or bus excursions, Venice on the Creek offers an opportunity to float alongside and through Denver's history on a gondola-like punt. Cherry Creek is situated next to downtown Denver and follows a paved, combination bike and running trail—a fun alternative to see and learn about the Mile High City, as well as a relaxing ride in general. The boats float from June-August, and trips run anywhere from 30 to 70 minutes…there are even date-worthy "candlelight" rides after 8:30 p.m.
