Description:

Commissioned in 1854, Kelvingrove Park (named after the river that flows nearby) is an attractive 85 acre park bordered by Sauchiehall Street, Woodlands Road and Kelvin Way. The Gothic Steward Memorial Foundation honors the 19th century Lord Provost of Glasgow Robert Stewart, who provided the city with drinking water. There are many other monument to famous Glaswegians. Kelvingrove Park is the setting for many events during the West End Festival.
