Located a short walk from the south rim of the Grand Canyon, Maswik Lodge is situated in a wooded area inside Grand Canyon National Park. The two-building, two-story lodge was built in the 1960s and was constructed of wood and stone. In Maswik North, most of the rooms feature high vaulted ceilings, private balconies, spacious bathrooms with vanities, and views of the surrounding forest. By far, this is one of the most picturesque areas to stay inside the park. The other half of this lodge, Maswik South, is a few years older, and the accommodations are not quite so spacious. However, a recent renovation, and the lower cost of staying at Maswik South, make this a good deal for visitors. Maswik Lodge is a good choice for families traveling with children, as many of the rooms can accommodate larger groups.
