Hemingway's is a cozy restaurant and bar that can be found off of Heidelberg's Hauptstraße. The Biergarten features snuggly-placed tables found underneath the cozy shade of trees and canopy and is an ideal place to sit and watch the ships silently sail down the Neckar. Indoors, you can sit among locals and tourists alike and enjoy the pub-like ambiance of this Heidelberg staple while sipping on a Pils (short for Pilsner, a type of beer) from a large mug. Hemingway's is also a great place to find cheap, delicious Mexican and American food. The menu says that they do not serve fast food, they serve great food as quickly as they can and that they do, with some of the friendliest service in town. Get there early if you plan to stay awhile in order to get a good seat at one of the tables, otherwise you'll be stuck at the bar or tucked away in a corner. Hemingway's is also a great place to stop for a coffee in the middle of the day if you find yourself in need of a cozy place to rest your feet after a long day of roaming around.
