Mildners Cafe is a popular hang-out for locals and is well removed from Heidelberg's tourist traps. The hip, minimalist, but also cozy and friendly atmosphere attracts students on break from classes across the street at one of the University buildings, which are scattered around the city, but also couples, businesspeople and even little children with their families. Enjoy free internet access and get some work done or chat with a friend while sitting on one of the sofas or over-stuffed chairs. They serve a wide variety of soups, smoothies, salads, mueslis, and fruit dishes, but are most known for their delicious baguettes and, of course, their coffee. Mildners just added a few picnic tables in front of the cafe for guests who want to enjoy their coffee and the sun simultaneously.
