The Fish Kebab here is particularly tasty and generously proportioned.

Despite its inherent greatness, there are times when even Saigon's biggest fans crave a window away from Vietnam.  And it is in these fraught moments when venues like Au Parc come into their own.  Fusing French cafĂ© culture with Arabic touches, the ambiance is buzzy but relaxing at the same time.  The downstairs area has outdoor seating and a well-stocked deli bar, upstairs is spacious and moodily lit while an annex between the two floors features sofas and a strangely fetching bright yellow color scheme. Meanwhile, a classy soundtrack of jazz and soul adds to the venue's overall aura of sophistication.  Even if the food was so-so, Au Parc would still make a great place of refuge. Thankfully, this isn't the case.  The downstairs deli provides the grist for a great selection of sandwiches and paninis, while more substantial offerings such as the mezze platter and lamb kebabs offer ample Middle Eastern promise in the thick of the tropics.
