Description:
Lucky Peak State Park is just east of Boise along the Boise River and Lucky Peak Dam. Spring Shores is one area of the park with boat marinas and lake recreation available. Sandy Point is the main swimming area with lots of beach sand, picnic tables, and changing rooms. No pets are allowed here to keep the area clean for swimmers. Discovery Park is below the dam and is perfect for a shady family picnic. Plenty of parking in all three areas allows for a spontaneous decision to go out to the water to play when the temperature rises too high.
