NileGuide Expert tip:
To find Shoshone Falls, travel first to Twin Falls, and then follow the signs.
Shoshone Falls is one of the "twin" falls near Twin Falls, Idaho. It is nicknamed the Niagara of the West because the falls are every bit as spectacular as that famous place in the eastern part of the continent and favored by honeymooners and barrel boaters.
Shoshone Falls is a spectacular waterfall on the Snake River in southern Idaho. It is best seen in the spring, when heavy runoff from snowmelt is at the highest point, although it is beautiful any time of year.
