Description:

The RAF Museum is set in a WWI aircraft hangar originally part of the Hendon Aerodrome, considered to be the birthplace of British aviation. Today the hangar and restored aircraft factory house over 90 historic aircraft including Fokkers, Spitfires and a Eurofighter Typhoon. Learn about the history of flight and the role of the famed RAF. Sit in a cockpit, try on a pilot's uniform, an explore the photo galleries. Expereience a dogfight in one of the two flight simulators.

Turn left out of the station and walk straight along the road for about 10 minutes - you will need to cross a roundabout and to stay on the right hand side of the road as the pavement runs out on the left after the roundabout. The Museum is on the right hand side of the road
