Here's what Trippy members say about Tate Modern:

"LANTERN RESTAURANT Mayfair GREEK RESTAURANTS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tate Modern Browns Covent Garden"  See More

"Stephanie, Given that you've never been to London before, here are my suggestions. Additionally, you're coming from the East Coast, so you'll probably be arriving in London in mid-to-early morning -- if you can manage to push through that first day without succumbing to jet lag, you'll feel great the rest of your trip. As an aside, this list is mostly cultivated from my own loves in London -- it's by no means definitive nor necessarily the most popular. Just places I love! :) Day 1 (Day of Arrival) Grab breakfast at Regency Cafe, a classic place for English Breakfast Wander around near Buckingham Palace, cross Westminster Bridge, and enjoy a coffee (and unique view) from 2 Love Tea & Coffee House (!"  See More

"You will have the Tate Modern, The Globe Theatre, Mary Ward Centre and Borough Market close by."  See More

"One of my favorite things to do when I lived in London was taking a walk across the Millennium Bridge after a visit to the Tate Modern (Tate Modern)."  See More

"The British Museum is amazing but depending on your interests you might enjoy Tate Modern, Natural History Museum, Tower Of London or The Sherlock Holmes Museum more."  See More

"Just try to hit one museum (my vote is for either The British Museum or Tate Modern), one government/royal thing (Buckingham Palace or House of Parliament), one historical site (Churchill War Rooms or Westminster Abbey) and one outdoor spectacle (Big Ben or Trafalgar Square)."  See More

"We took the boat ride from the Tate Modern to National Gallery and they really enjoyed that!"  See More

"London covers a lot of area so group together sites in the same area to save travel time, like the Shakespeare's Globe and Tate Modern are close to each other; the Natural History Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum are across the street from each other; the London Eye is near the House Of Parliament and Big Ben."  See More

"As can a stroll along the south bank - start from the Millennium Bridge and the Tate Modern (free) and head down past the National Theatre."  See More

"Jessie, London! Best city ever! First off, for any high tea, call and book early. You won't be able to guarantee a spot if you just walk in. My best casual recommendations are Sketch, which is a super funky space with several dining rooms, a tea room, and the coolest bathroom in London (seriously, check it out even if you don't have to use them). You'll definitely have a cool (and expensive, because all High Tea is expensive) experience, and it's definitely casual. The other place that's getting a ton of buzz--they're booking out into October now--is Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium out east. As the name suggests, you'll have high tea among the kitties who live at Lady Dinah's. The company supports animal refuge and the cats who live on-site are super friendly and cute. Seriously, just check out their Twitter (!"  See More

"House Of Parliament, Tower Bridge, Tate Modern)."  See More

"I suggest you start from either Waterloo Station (Royal Festival Hall) -- my preference -- or London Bridge (The Bowl or even Borough Market where you can get a great coffee at Monmouth Coffee Company), and walk towards the Tate Modern."  See More

"From Victoria to London Bridge, the walk takes about three hours (how long it took me when I walked it) and takes you past the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament, the Tate Modern, Battersea Power Station and Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace are both short walks from the riverside."  See More

"My two favorites are the Tate Modern and The British Museum (the latter of which plays host to the Rosetta Stone."  See More

"The Tate Modern is a wonderful modern art museum that turned and old power station into a great destination."  See More

"So Lloyds of London or the Girkin sit strangely by Sir Christopher Wren Churches, the ultra modern Millennium Bridge bridge straddles the Thames River between the 17th Century Saint Paul's Cathedral (do check out Paternoster Square) and a 19th Century power station converted into a Modern Art museum - Tate Modern (awesome btw!"  See More

"before you pop into the Tate Modern you might take a rest with a pint at the Founder's Arms, then check out the Millennium Bridge with St Pauls the other side."  See More

"Not too far from the market is the Tate Modern which is also free (and crowded on the weekends)."  See More

"Don't forget cafe options overlooking the Thames at the Tate Modern!"  See More

"Tate Modern is a great modern art museum and Victoria & Albert Museum is very cool (probably has the best gift shop in the region)."  See More

"Stopping off at the Tate Modern for a cup of tea on the top floor looking over the London skyline, maybe taking in a few exhibitions whilst there."  See More
