Beverly Hills

Description:

Beverly Hills, sister city of Cannes, is world famous for its high end shopping, eating and luxury experience. This is where Hollywood's glitterati lived during its golden era, and it remains a polished example of everything elegant, decadent and over the top. This is a one day trip to expose the other, more real side of Beverly Hills. Despite it's reputation as a playground to the rich and famous, it boosts some of the richest cultural treasures in the Los Angeles Basin. Take this opportunity to experience some world class art, a museum experience unlike any other at the Museum of Tolerance and eat among the rich and famous as they talk about scripts, financial planning and future events.

Day 1 - Los Angeles, Beverly Hills

This is a great excursion to find out the real substance behind Beverly Hills other than Rodeo Drive. Start out early by going to the Getty Center. While not technically in Beverly Hills, it is close by and provides a great aerial view of the greater Beverly Hills area. View world class art, especially the illuminated manuscripts exhibit. Afterwards, grab a bite at the Ivy to power lunch with the stars. Avoid the paparazzi if you can. Next, take a tour on the Beverly Hills Trolley. It's a quaint way to see the business and famous residential districts that have made Beverly Hills a true sister city to Cannes. Wind down by strolling through Beverly Gardens Park and relax at the Peninsula Spa. Afterwards, visit the Museum of Tolerance for some history and a gritty reminder of mistakes in our planet's past. This museum proves that Beverly Hills is more than fashion and glamor. Afterwards, enjoy a nice seafood meal at Crustacean.
