Tucked in a corner just off the main Plaza de Armas, Gringo Bill's Hotel is a simple yet imaginative mid-range hotel established and run by a Peruvian-American family. Clean rooms with private bathrooms are wrapped around a small stone courtyard with pool and Jacuzzi. The rooms themselves come with private bathrooms, hot water, television, breakfast and mystical murals adorning the walls. Some rooms and suites are available with bathtubs and balconies (though not all with views) and a two-room suite is able to accommodate families of up to five. Downstairs, the Pisco Room Bar is a classy and simplistic locale in which to enjoy a night-time cocktail while chatting with travelers or admiring their collection of huacos (ceramic Inca vessels).
