Set sail on the open waters in a variety of affordable watercraft rentals including: canoes, kayaks, rowboats, paddle boats, windsurfers, and sailboats. Other aquatic equipment can be rented including swim boards, inner tubes, and fishing poles.Wingra offers individual sailing lessons, private dockage, and boat repair in Wingra Park, an access point to Lake Wingra. Protected by the University of Madison's Arboretum, plan on seeing herons, ospreys, cranes, turtles, and a variety of fish.
Open seven days a week from May to September between 9:00AM and 7:00PM. If you are hungry, Wingra sells picnic-type food like brats, hot dogs, and ice cream.
