Lahaina
Located on the west side of the island, Lahaina is perhaps one of the most unique areas in the entire state. Home of the historical seaside whaling town of Lahaina, Maui's first planned resort Kaanapali, Hawaii's only full operational sugar train and the uposcale resort area of Kapalua, the area is certainly the "go to" spot for those visiting Maui for the first time. There are wonderful beaches that include the wonderful white sandy shores of Kaanapali and Kapalua, nightlife, water activities and more.
