There are three Bridie chains in Melbourne but this is easily the best. Formerly the Sarah Sands Hotel, it didn't take long for the locals to warm to it, and then the Melbourne Uni crowd followed shortly after, making weekends and designated Uni nights extremely popular. The pub style food is above average, the drink list has the usual favorites and there is an excellent beer garden . Bands play on some nights of the week, and be sure to check their nightly drink specials on their website. Trivia nights on Tuesday are also popular and a good way to talk to some locals.
