Bakea has been the recipient of many accolades amongst the top chefs and food lovers of Mexico City. The reason is likely due to the fact that Bakea has fused two of the world's top cuisines French and Basque and serves them in a cosy, nondescript and homely environment. The result is an enticing melange of flavours, smells and sounds that will have you mouth watering even before their infamous Sealed Foi Gras entree. Bakea, in the charming Las Lomas neighbourhood, is run by chef/owner Vicente Etchegaray and he is almost permanently present to assist diners with selection of their dish and also to walk you through the many options in wine. Although their menu is seasonal (changes almost every 4 months) the rack of lamb, as well as their lettuce sangria have been highly recommended. A top spot for an intimate meal.
