Corona Arch

NileGuide Expert Says:

Someone once flew a plane through this arch. How crazy and cool is that?

Address:

Moab,

NileGuide Expert tip:

If it's hot, go early morning or late evening. The trail has little shade.

Description:

Corona Arch is a truly impressive piece of natural architecture. Swooping out and down from its adjacent cliff, this graceful arch looks like it's been gently pushed with a giant hand so it leans slightly. The trail to the arch is only three miles round trip, and it's nicely maintained. An elevation gain of about 440 feet means you might puff a bit, but it's an easy hike for most reasonably fit adults and kids. Highly recommended hike.

Finding the trailhead is simple: from Moab, head north on highway 191. Turn left (west) on State Road 279 (marked as Potash Road) and drive about ten miles to the signed trailhead on the right (north) side of the road.
