The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, which is located a block from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park, provides habitat for wild bears and wolves. Visitors can get an up-close peek at wolves at the Naturalist's Cabin, or watch bears from viewing points within the park. The center serves primarily as a refuge for bears and provides an excellent means for teaching the public about the boundaries of human-bear interaction.School and group tours can be arranged, with live demonstrations and activities available for all ages of children. The center also provides bird of prey demonstrations, and talks about bear safety in the wilderness.
The admittance fee is good for two consecutive days, with reduced rates for seniors and children under 12. Children 5 and under are free. The Center is open year-round.
