Mumbai Central/Haji Ali/Mahalaxmi
Two of Mumbai's most religious sites stand almost back to back – the Hindu Mahalaxmi Temple dedicated to the goddess of wealth, Laxmi, and the mausoleum of Haji Ali Bakhtari, a Muslim mystic. Haji Ali lies on a tiny island joined by a narrow causeway to the mainland, accessible only during low tide, an exotic sight. Don't miss the juice shops at the entrance to the causeway.
