NileGuide Expert tip:
Definitely try Hacker-Pschorr's Keller beer, it's an unfiltered lager beer.
Der Pschorr is only a couple years old, yet most people would never know after a visit. The atmosphere is a mixture of an upscale restaurant and traditional Bavarian beer hall and it some how finds a happy medium. Its location at the northern end of the Schrannenhalle, a small shopping mall, is ideal for most tourists as it is only a five minute walk from Marienplatz by way of Munich's main market, the Viktualienmarkt. It's a fairly large restaurant with room for events of all type and sizes both indoor and outdoor. Der Pschorr's outdoor seating is a large terrace with some views of the Viktualienmarkt. As its name suggests, the beer on offer is a local beer, Hacker-Pschorr.
The nearest S-bahn station is Marienplatz, which is a 5 minute walk north of Der Pschorr.
