Oak Knoll

While this is a well-established wine growing area in Napa Valley, the Oak Knoll District designation only began appearing on wine labels with the 2004 vintage. Oak Knoll's situation in the center of the Napa Valley gives it a climatic balance, what the resident Trefethen Vineyards' winemaker calls the "sweet spot." Thanks to this sweet spot, Oak Knoll's thirty wineries produce wines from a huge range of varietals: some of Napa's best Bordeaux blends, niche Rieslings, and particularly delicate and restrained Chardonnay.
