Head over during the weak if you can, it's likely to be uncrowded then.

Description:

At the end of the road on the Waianae Coast is beautiful Yokohama Beach. Nicknamed "Yoks" by the locals, the beach is extremely long and covered in fine, clean white sand. When the waves are small the area is wonderful for swimming, but when it's big, you want to generally stay out of the water. You'll find bathrooms, showers, and a lifeguard here so if in doubt check with the lifeguard for advice on entering the ocean.

The interesting thing here is that you're just around the corner from the North Shore. The Waianae Mountain divides the west and north sides, but here you're just around the corner from the North Shore. Yoks is worth making a day trip out, and the sunsets out here are unbeatable.
