Description:
This elegant bed and breakfast near the
Rideau Canal in Old Ottawa South was once home to American and French diplomats. In 2007, the Rideau Canal was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built in 1925, this B&B is the only one overlooking the Rideau Canal and features lovely details like leaded glass windows. Breakfasts are vegetarian, but the owners are happy to add bacon or sausage with 24 hours advance notice. The whole B&B is non-smoking. The three guest rooms, one with an en-suite bath and the other two with a shared bath, are furnished in a homey, traditional style. Each is equipped with laptop hookups and bathrobes. The rooms share a lounge with a refrigerator, microwave and cable TV. There's a two-night minimum for weekend stays, and a 10 percent discount for stays of six days or more.
