The Golfers Ultimate Weekend in Palm Springs

Description:

Palm Springs is known as a desert oasis, and my goodnes do they know how to grow some beautiful greens. Both the La Quinta and PGA West Courses reside here along with some of golf's biggest names. Along the way enjoy some great dining experiences at Kaiser Grill or Blend both of which offer great selections of fresh grilled steaks and appetizers. Be sure to play some golf along the way too.

Day 1 - Palm Springs

What better hotel to stay at than the one that offers the top golf courses in Phoenix, and is situated next to the others. The La Quinta Resort and Club has had guests such as Oprah and the Bush family, but it is their legendary golf courses that are of interest, and there are both courses on site were designed by Pete Dye. When hunger does strike, head over to Arnold Palmer's Restaurant and enjoy a little bit of the culture that Arnold loved so much. Afterwards, work on your short game at their 9 hole putting green. The Pavilion Theatre does a fantastic job of showcasing the diverse arts of the culture of Palm Springs, and if dancing is what you fancy then you are in luck. The Kaiser Grill will be sure to impress with its great steaks and other menu items while you enjoy the beautiful weather on their patios. They have a great bar atmosphere, (if that's what you are looking for at night), but do not forget that the La Quinta Resort has amazing grounds that are well lit at night making it perfect for a night stroll.

Day 2 - Palm Desert, Palm Springs

Today is the day where you get to test your skills against golf's greatest, or at least the greatest's courses. Face off against the likes of Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman on their personally designed courses. Whether it's after your first or second round that hunger comes calling, Blend is the restaurant you want. The young chefs creating your dishes have passion for their food - so much so that you can taste their excitement for food, and excellent wine list. If you are looking to enjoy some more culture head over to Reflections of... where you will find an array of glass art that is a great place to find that piece to light up that special room. If you are in the mood for shopping then head on over to the El Paseo Shopping Avenue, where you will surely like their collection of designer stores. A great place to end your night is at The Village Pub. Mind you that this is no ordinary pub, this pub is food first, they have a wide array of dishes that are sure to please every pallate. You will also find live music here seven nights a week.
