Some lodges seek to modernize their services, but the Alta Peruvian prides itself on providing guests with the coziness of a rustic, traditional ski lodge experience. Open since 1948, this features a wide spread of rooms and price ranges, from dorm-style beds, up through single guest rooms, to one- and two-bedroom suites. In general, this lodge is toned-down and less glitzy than its competitors- but still clean, cozy, and comfortable. Decor includes soft colors, woods, and homey, non-designer-type themes. Feels more like a home than a sterile hotel.For breakfast and lunch, guests have access to a generous buffet. Dinner at the Peruvian is a full-service affair with waitstaff and a choice of entrees. Guests at the Alta Peruvian Lodge ski both Alta and Snowbird for the cost of just an Alta day ticket, and have access to a very necessary hot tub for pool for apres-ski therapy.
