Tips and reviews

Here's what Trippy members say about Abacus Gallery:

"Maine doesn't have to be expensive to visit. My husband and I rent an inexpensive cottage off season (usually on the water for the fantastic views (check out cyberrentals, vrbo, homeaway) and take day trips to various places from that base. We shop at local food markets and fix breakfast and dinners at the cottage and then catch lunch at one of the many delicious fresh seafood roadside stands Red's Eats or go to the gourmet sandwich shop Market Basket. Admission to parks is very reasonable (or free) and the hikes/climbs/beaches are fantastic and beautiful. Can you bring your bikes from home to save $$? Maine explodes with the arts in the summer with lots of performing and visual arts. Search for free open air concerts (Portland, Freeport) in several cities (take a blanket or folding chairs to sit on and pack a picnic) The Bowdoin International Music Festival offers some free classical music concerts during their season featuring extremely gifted students and world renowned artists. !"  See More
