El Living (the living room, in Chilean Spanish) is one of those just-what-you-needed and when you least expected it kind of places. it's a cozy, bright café with red accents, hand-made wooden tables, couches to lounge on and a bilingual staff (including the owners, british expats). It's easily the best place to have coffee or a light snack in Puerto Natales, and has real coffee prepared a variety of ways, good vegetarian meals including innovative salads, fried camembert, hummous, french toast and other favorites for kicking the ever-present Puerto Natales breeze. It's a great place to go before your farewell to fresh and delicious food before a long camping trip, or a place to ease back into real food after a long hike. No one will look at you askance if you arrive somewhat unkempt and with your giant hiking boots still on.

Most of all, you can tell that the people running this restaurant really like doing so. They've looked after every detail and developed a devoted following among vegetarians and meat eaters alike. They also serve a nice pisco sour and serve Chilean wine to finish off your meal.
