In Puerto Penasco we have an opportunity to visit the CETMAR aquarium exhibit which is small but essential in the education of the next generation of adults.Part of the exhibit allows you to search in handmade tide pools for animals that naturally live in the intertidal zone in the sea of Cortes'. Kids really love to be able to hold a brittle star starfish or see the anemones and urchins.
There is also a wide variety of fish contained in the many individual aquariums lining the walls of the building. From puffer fish to stingrays to sea horses . . . and everything else in between! They are all
There is a large pool in one section where the giant sea turtles swim and play around. In the back of the aquarium is where you will find Arturo a very large sea lion. Get a snack for him at the check in and have a blast watching his antics while you feed him.
