Description:

After more than three years of eating in Puerto Viejo, we keep coming back to the King for the delicious burritos, scrumptious chile rellenos, and excellent ceviche. The dinner menu includes all the standards, including carne asada, fajitas, enchiladas, and nachos, and is prepared to order using fresh ingredients, which sometimes takes awhile, but it is well worth the wait. Margaritas are made from scratch with organic limes, and for tequila aficionados, the King is one of the few places we've found that carries Ajo Toro- an exquisite 100% agave that feels like gold going down. Everything on the menu is excellent, starting with the huevos rancheros in the a.m., but if you're a person that loves the nightlight and is up til all hours, the next morning the King's chimichanga breakfast burrito is the best cure for the night before. It will satisfy you, knock you back into reality and get you ready for good day. You have to ask for it since it's a variation on the one listed on the menu. Lunch specials are always worth trying, for the value and the experience of eating just what the chefs are having themselves that day, which may be a roast pork sandwich or a cheeseburger with fries.
