NileGuide Expert tip:

On weekends it's a great place to take the family as they have a nice patio and fenced play yard for the kids. There are young girls who will babysit the kids for you while they play outside. There's no charge but it's customary to tip them.

Description:

You can't help but notice this restaurant, it's the log cabin with an airplane crashed into the roof. Crash Robinson's specializes in beef. Nice décor, good service. The menu is written on a large slab of wood and it takes two people to bring the menu and with a tray of beef, seafood and poultry cuts to the table so you can pick out exactly what you'd like. The marinated aracherra is especially tasty and I've never had a steak there that wasn't perfectly done. They have a nice salad bar that's set up in an old carved wooden canoe. They don't cook the vegetables to mush but, like most Mexican restaurants, they have no idea what to do with a potato except defrost and throw them in the deep fryer. Skip the hamburger, but who orders a hamburger in Mexico anyway. Most of the complimentary dipping sauces they bring to the table along with home-made tortilla chips are pretty hot. Very popular with local business people for mid-afternoon lunch and it gets crowded after 2:00 but reservations are never necessary. Small parking lot but somehow valet parking finds a space for every car, even if they have to drive your car down the street and lock it up in front of a house.
