The Fort Howe Hotel & Convention Centre is a property with a history in Saint John, NB. I am sad to see the "Top of the Town" restaurant closed - this famous spot with the locals had a great buffet and an amazing panoramic view. This 133 room hotel looks deceptively small from the outside ... it has 8 meeting rooms and a large reception hall which can accommodate 450 people!The rooms are a bit dated and the room amenities offered are fairly common. The rooms are clean; however, there must be challenges with updating rooms in an older hotel. The menu in the Long Wharf Bistro is quite expansive and they offer breakfast from open to close. The property's central location is close to the "Uptown" district as well as the local University of New Brunswick campus. It is good value for your money.
