Description:
Divided into a main guest house and private cabins, the Alaska Lodge is locate north of Salt Lake City -actually about 15 minutes east of Ogden, in Ogden Canyon. The rooms at the Alaskan Inn certainly have a woodsy flavor, yet retain taste and romantic coziness. The Alasaka Inn is within about 50 minutes of the Salt Lake Airport, and is less than a half hour from the excellent ski resorts of Powder Mountain and Snowbasin -two of the Wasatch Mountains' best ski areas. Not as famous as Snowbird or the Park City resorts, these usually enjoy much less crowding, yet comparable snow and terrain. Various romantic packages are available, and dinner dates, roses, limo rides, massage, fresh fruit, and picnic baskets. For those into the outdoors, this can be a great romantic getaway. For those who haven't been to the Ogden City area or the Ogden Valley to its east, this is definitely less famous than Salt Lake City and its mountains -but just as beautiful, and often preferable for those seeking solitude and less chaos.
