Much more than "just" a sushi bar, this Japanese restaurant offers a broad and deep selection of other appetizers and entrees. Main entree categories include sukiyaka, tempura, teryaki, katsu, yosenabe, donburi, yakizakana, noodle dishes, combination platters, and several selections within each of these categories. In addition to all of this, there is a generously long, relatively traditional sushi menu with maki, sashimi, nigiri, and house specials. On Monday through Wednesday evenings, Suehiro runs a generously long happy hour -from 5:30 to 9pm during which you may buy one sushi roll and get the second at 50% off. Check online for oft-changing specials. A word of caution: Suehiro always closes between lunch and dinner (2-5:30pm), so don't stop by for a mid-afternoon snack. Located in Midvale, this is hardly a good lunch spot for downtowners, but for those skiing in the Cottonwoods, or staying south of town, this provides a great option for lunch or dinner. Closed on Sundays.
