Salt Lake City Ski Guide

Description:

Salt Lake City is home to four world class ski resorts just a 45-minutes drive from downtown Salt Lake. Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, and Brighton have some of the best snow on Earth.

Due to the resorts’ proximity to the Great Salt Lake, the Salt Lake City resorts get blasted with lake effect snow that is incredibly light and fluffy thanks to the lake’s high salinity. The Park City resorts just don’t get as much snow as the Salt Lake resorts that boast over 500 inches of snow a year.

Where To Ski:

With four world-class resorts in the immediate Salt Laek City area, how do you know where to ski? Well Snowbird boasts the most challenging and hardcore terrain and Alta is for skiers only - no snowboarders here. Solitude claims the shortest lift lines and has a wide variety of terrain and Brighton is great for families with plenty of terrain parks and pipes for snowboarders.
