The village celebrates together in the street and in homes with three typical dances called the baile del Torito, del Negro and the Baile de los Cantimbanos, each telling part of the history of San Pedro de Atacama and surrounding towns, some of which include children, and one of which looks like a military regimen advancing. It's a big night, with lots of festivities in an otherwise quiet time of hte year, as it's the middle of winter. In addition to the folk dancing, there's modern dancing, and lots of food.Map:
