Most hassle-free beach to park at/walk to in Santa Cruz
East Cliff Dr at Seabright Ave
Santa Cruz, California 95062
Nestled between the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and the Santa Cruz Harbor is Seabright State Beach, a beautiful expanse of soft sand and roiling surf. While not as well known as the more famous Main Beach, which draws in large summer crowds looking to cool off from the Boardwalk, Seabright still brings people in with its unobstructed ocean views, volley ball nets, firepits, and ample sandy real estate. Dogs are allowed here on a leash. Stake out a spot along the water and trek eastwards towards the Walton Lighthouse. While you can't go inside this ancient structure, you can explore it and the jetty sticking out like a finger into the froathing waves and watch the sail boats go by.
