For the backpacker set, there are tons of new hostels opening all the time, with sweet touches like in house free phone calls and lockers to charge your electronics, and for boutique hotel lovers, there are a couple of new hotels that fit the bill. But as fusion cuisine and more international fashion comes to Santiago, you can bet that the hipness factor will catch from the restaurants and nightlife to the hotels. Watch this space!
