Lunchtime specials for about US $7 are tasty, filling and reasonable, but come afternoon or evening for some of the freshest, tastiest "comida arabe" around.

Description:

Doner House was the first Turkish Kebap place to open in Santiago, and if you think you could use a tasty break from what you've been eating, you wouldn't go wrong to check out what this place has on offer.

In addition to the kebabs, with shaved roasted meat served up with onions, tomatoes and a garlicky yogurt sauce, they also make pide, which are like little boats formed around a filling. The espinakli pide (spinach pita) is my favorite, bubbling hot and tangy with cheese and spinach. The kebaps come as part of a special with a small drink, and the pide come with a small marinated salad with carrots, red cabbage, and the yogurt sauce. Prices are economical, and it's often full, both in the outdoor seating and inside, but people don't linger that long, and it's definitely worth the wait.

Lucky for people living in Las Condes, Doner House has recently opened a location in the Sub Centro of the Escuela Militar Metro. So now you have two delicious, economical locations to pick up a pide or kebap (or get delivery if you're in the Apoquindo area).
