Description:

This wine tour takes you through around the grounds and into the cellars of the Cousiño Macul winery, a short bus ride from downtown Santiago in the co. The tour is conducted in either English or Spanish and includes tastings en route, where you hold your glass as you are told about the wines. Tastings include a winery souveneir glass and the tasting of one varietal and one reserve wine.

The tours last 45 minutes, and have a cost of 7,000 CLP (around fifteen dollars at press time). Tours are given Monday through Friday at 11 am, 12 noon, 3 pm and 4 pm in English and Spanish, and on Saturdays at 11 am and 12 noon in English and Spanish. Groups should make arrangements beforehand.

To get there: take the metro line 4 to the station Quilín, and from there either continue on (at no extra charge when using a BIP card) on the yellow D-17 bus to the winery. Alternately, take a taxi for no more than 2,000 CLP (less than $5 at press time).
