The bars and restaurants surrounding the rectangular plaza fill with a bohemian blend of Paulistanos – many of them in their 20s and 30s – preferring to people watch, chat with friends and listen to the bevy of street musicians. The market is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday. Loads of buses running on Rua Teodoro Sampaio pass by the market. The nearest Metro is the Clinicas stop.Map:
