Highway 200
Sayulita, Mexico

NileGuide Expert tip:

Don Pedros is a great beachfront restaurant with excellent food.

Sayulita is a lively village just a short hour's drive north of Puerto Vallarta with killer waves and lots of surf schools ready to teach you how to tame them. Whether you are a foodie, a surfer dude or a sun worshipper, Sayulita won't disappoint. Just fifteen years ago this village was only visited by adventuresome wave warriors and aging hippies. Today the surfing is still fabulous but culture has arrived in the form of artist's studios, beautiful galleries, high end jewelry designers and chic boutiques. Each year more and more North Americans are settling in Sayulita and the tourist trade seems to quadruple each season. Visit to plaza on weekends and you will hear music, see impromptu art showings, and be partying the night away with people of all ages and all nationalities. Sayulita is a village that never sleeps. Restaurants range from taco stands that pop up on a corner after sunset to full-fledged gastronomically incredible restaurants.
