Caneel Bay is a white sandy beach with lush tropical foliage on the grounds of Caneel Bay Resort. The water is usually very calm and clear. You can access the beach through the resort's entrance. It is requested that you check in with the front desk and collect a day-visitor's guide. A water sports concession rents small watercrafts.The water is clear and the sand is white (like most other St. John beaches) but the advantage of Caneel is that it's close to Cruz Bay and adjacent to the many attractions within the resort, such as restaurants, other beaches, and the ruins of a sugar plantation. So it's ideal for those who are keen on multi-tasking, or who just don't want to stray far from the activity of Cruz Bay.
